At Flako Moving LLC we respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you ask us for an estimate or hire a move, what we use it for, and what rights you have over it.

Flako Moving LLC is a moving and hauling company based in Hyde Park that serves Boston and the surrounding area. We are registered with the FMCSA under USDOT number 8351953.

What information we collect
We only ask for what we need in order to quote and carry out the job:
- Contact information: first name, last name, phone number (including your mobile number) and, if you give it to us, your email address.
- Service information: the address or area you are moving from and to, type of move, approximate size, preferred date, whether there are stairs or an elevator, and any detail you tell us (piano, refrigerator, packing needs, fragile items).
- SMS consent record: if you check the SMS consent box on our quote form, we keep a record that you opted in, together with the date, the time and the IP address of that submission.
- Technical information: your IP address and the date and time you submit the form, which are logged automatically as a security measure against bulk submissions.
We do not collect card or bank account details through this website. Payment for the service is arranged directly with you.
What we use your information for
- Preparing an estimate for you and replying to your inquiry.
- Coordinating the date, the time and the details of your move.
- Contacting you during the job if something unexpected comes up.
- Sending you service updates about your move by phone call, email or text message.
- Sending you marketing or promotional text messages only if you opted in by checking the SMS consent box on our quote form. That box is unchecked by default, it is never required in order to submit the form, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by replying STOP.
- Meeting legal or tax obligations where they apply.
SMS / Text Messaging
Flako Moving LLC offers text message (SMS) communication to customers who ask for it. Taking part is entirely optional.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with or sold to any third parties. Your mobile phone number and your SMS opt-in information will not be sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
What we collect for SMS
- Your mobile phone number, as you enter it on our quote form or give it to us directly.
- A record of your consent: the date and time you checked the SMS consent box and the IP address the submission came from.
- The messages exchanged with you and their delivery status.
What we use it for
We use your mobile number to text you about moving inquiries, estimates, appointments, scheduling, service updates and promotions.
How you opt in
By checking the SMS consent box on the quote form at https://flakomoving.com/. The box is unchecked by default and it is never required in order to submit the form. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to opt out or get help
Reply STOP to any of our messages to opt out at any time. You will get one confirmation message and we will not text you again. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at 857-251-6224 or flakomoving@gmail.com.
Who handles your number
Your mobile number and your consent record are used only by Flako Moving LLC to send you the messages you asked for. They are not used for any other purpose and are never shared for marketing.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. It is only seen by the people on our team who take part in your move. We may disclose it to an authority if a law or a court order requires us to.

How long we keep it
We keep estimate requests that do not turn into a job for one year. If you hire the move, we keep the service records for as long as the applicable tax and accounting obligations require. After that we delete them. SMS consent records are kept for as long as you stay opted in and for a reasonable period afterwards, as proof that the consent existed.
Cookies
This site uses technical cookies that are needed for the pages to display correctly and to remember basic preferences of your visit. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings; if you do, some parts of the site may not work properly.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access to the requests is restricted to authorized people at Flako Moving LLC. No system is infallible, but we apply reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your rights

Minors
Our services are hired by people over 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
