These Terms and Conditions (our Terms of Service) explain how we work at Flako Moving LLC: what the service includes, how the price is calculated and what each party is responsible for. By asking us for an estimate or hiring a move, you accept what follows.
1. Who we are and what we do
Flako Moving LLC is a moving and hauling company based in Hyde Park that operates in Boston and the surrounding area, registered with the FMCSA under USDOT number 8351953. We do house, apartment and office moves, furniture hauling, deliveries and pickups, and junk removal.

2. Estimates
The estimate we give you is an approximation based on the information you provide: type of move, size, origin and destination, date, access and details of the contents. It is free and without obligation.
The final price may change if, on arrival, we find conditions different from the ones described: for example more volume than stated, stairs or access points that were not mentioned, no way to park near the entrance, or items that need special handling. If that happens, we tell you before continuing and you decide whether we go ahead.
3. Bookings and cancellations
- The date is reserved once we confirm it with you by phone or in writing.
- You can cancel or change the date at no cost by giving us at least 24 hours’ notice.
- If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or nobody is at the address at the agreed time, we may charge for the trip.
- If we are the ones who cannot make it, we tell you as soon as possible and either find another date or charge you nothing.
4. What the service includes
Unless we agree otherwise, the service includes loading, transport and unloading of your belongings, with the crew and the vehicle required, plus the use of moving blankets and straps. Packing, disassembly and reassembly of furniture and the supply of boxes are agreed separately.
5. Items we do not transport
For safety and regulatory reasons, we do not transport:
- Cash, jewelry, irreplaceable documents or items of exceptional personal value.
- Flammable, explosive, corrosive or toxic material (gas cylinders, gasoline, paints, chemicals).
- Illegal substances, weapons or ammunition.
- Live animals, delicate plants and perishable or frozen food.
We recommend that you carry cash, jewelry and important documents yourself.
6. Liability
We handle your belongings with care and we answer for damage caused by our negligence during handling or transport. We do not answer for:
- Damage to items you packed yourself, when the failure comes from the packing.
- Pre-existing defects, wear, or internal fragility of the furniture or appliance that was not visible.
- Damage to the items excluded in section 5.
- Delays caused by circumstances outside our control: traffic, severe weather, roadworks, street closures or lack of access to the building.
If something is damaged, tell us within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs, so we can review it and sort it out with you.
7. Your responsibilities
- Giving us accurate information about the volume, the access and the contents.
- Being present, either you or an authorized person, during loading and unloading.
- Arranging parking or elevator permits when the building requires them.
- Removing loose, fragile or valuable items from the furniture before we arrive.
8. Payment
The price and the payment method are agreed before the service. Payment is made when the move is finished, unless we have agreed something else in writing.
9. Website form
The form on this site is for requesting an estimate. Submitting it is not a booking: the date is not held until we confirm it with you. The form asks for your name, last name, phone number and the type of move; everything else is optional. It also includes an optional, unchecked SMS consent box: checking it is not required to submit the form and it does not change the estimate in any way. How we handle the information you send us is explained in our Privacy Policy.
10. SMS Terms (Text Messaging Terms of Service)
Program name: Flako Moving LLC SMS notifications.
What we send: messages about moving inquiries, estimates, appointment confirmations and reminders, scheduling, service updates and occasional promotions.
How you opt in: by checking the unchecked SMS consent box on the quote form at https://flakomoving.com/. The box is unchecked by default and submitting the form does not require it.
Message frequency varies.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to opt out at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts.

Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Not all mobile carriers or handsets support text messaging, and delivery is subject to your carrier’s network. How we handle your mobile number and your consent record is explained in our Privacy Policy, which also states that no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
11. Content of this site
The texts, the logo and the images on this site belong to Flako Moving LLC and may not be reproduced without our permission. The information published is indicative and may change without prior notice.
12. Complaints and governing law
If something does not go as expected, call us first: most issues are resolved by talking. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States.
